FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

I can’t or don’t want to let my dog off the leash. Is that a problem?

Not at all! Your dog stays safe on the leash. I work with patience and calm so your dog feels comfortable. Some of the most beautiful shots are taken in these moments. I also use small tricks and tools to focus your dog’s attention on the camera.

My dog is lively and loves to sniff around. Will that still work?

Absolutely! With patience and calm, we’ll let your dog settle in at its own pace. The most natural and beautiful shots often happen in those moments. I also use little tricks and tools to focus your dog’s attention without overwhelming it.

What’s expected of my dog?

Nothing more than feeling comfortable and having fun! If your dog knows tricks, we can include them in the shots. But even without tricks, we’ll capture authentic moments and your dog’s unique personality – just as it is.

How long does a photoshoot take?

We’ll take as much time as needed to create great photos. Generally, dogs get tired after about two hours, so it’s important your dog is rested and relaxed before the shooting.

I have a nervous or reactive dog. Can a photoshoot still happen?

Of course! I’m happy to take the time your dog needs to feel comfortable. With patience and a gentle approach, we’ll keep the shoot stress-free. Using my telephoto lens, I can work from a comfortable distance so your dog feels safe. Your dog’s well-being always comes first.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! A helping hand to hold the leash, offer treats, or get your dog’s attention is always welcome. If you’d like additional people in the photos, let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

When do the shoots take place? And what if the weather is bad?

As a photographer, I love soft light – early in the morning at sunrise or in the late afternoon before sunset. A cloudy sky or fog creates a beautiful atmosphere perfect for capturing stunning images. We’ll avoid harsh sunlight or heavy rain. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll monitor the forecast and decide if rescheduling makes sense.

When will I receive my photos?

After the shoot, I’ll provide a selection gallery where you can calmly choose your favorite images. If you need help selecting, I’ll gladly assist with my trained eye. Once you’ve chosen, I’ll edit your photos with love and attention to detail before sending them to you online.

What does fine art editing mean?

In my work in the Fine Art style, I don’t just create beautiful photographs – I create small, individual works of art. Fine Art editing is an essential part of my creative process. Through carefully chosen tones, lighting, contrast, and retouching, I give each image a distinctive signature – cohesive, emotional, and timeless. For this reason, I only deliver fully edited images. Unedited files (RAWs or unretouched JPGs) are not part of the services I offer.
This is how I ensure that every photo reflects my artistic style – and becomes something you’ll treasure for many years to come.
